Is it possible to park for free ?
If you are lucky enough to have booked a holiday rental in Cassis with an integrated private car park the problem of parking is not really yours.
On the other hand if you plan to spend the day in Cassis without sleeping there, we have good news !!!
There are possibilities to park for free in the streets of Cassis, but tourists don't necessarily know them.
Indeed, apart from the 3 paying parking zones described below, all the marked parking spaces on the public road are free.
Of course, in July and August - high tourist season - the places are expensive and there as everywhere, the first arrived (before 8 am) will be the first served...

The answer is yes !!! You can park in the streets of Cassis ...
It is possible to park in all the streets with marked parking spaces on the ground.
3 charging zones have been defined, 1 of which is free. The further away from the town centre, the cheaper it is.
Zone 1 orange: avenues: du Révestel - Leriche - Ganteaume - la Ciotat
Green zone 2: avenues: Liautaud - Ferry - Gambi - Colbert - Picouveau
In all other streets parking is free (and therefore Free) ...

Are you looking for a car park as close as possible to the port and the beach ?
It all depends on how long you park. This solution can be beneficial for two reasons: It will save you from having to turn around in the city to find a parking space on the public highway to park your vehicle.
It will be much more protected in a secure car park -equipped with an armada of surveillance cameras- than in the street. Even if I can reassure you that the streets of CASSIS are among the safest on the French Riviera.

Cassis has 9 car parks (8 paying + 1 free) spread throughout the village.
Numerous illuminated billboards inform motorists of the availability of "Direct live" parking spaces.
- Parking de la Viguerie - Avenue de la viguerie (299 spaces - paying - 1 hour free)
- Parking Savon - Esplanade Charles de Gaulle (60 spaces - paying)
- Parking de la Poste - Rond Point de la Source roundabout (92 paying spaces + 32 2-wheeler spaces - )
- Parking des Mimosas - Avenue Augustin Isnard (paying - 1st hour free)
- Parking de la Madie - Avenue du Revestel (paying)
- Parking Daudet - Avenue Alphonse Daudet (paying)
- Parking du Bestouan - Avenue des Calanques (paying)
- Presqu'île car park (private - paying)
- Parking des Gorguettes - Cassis exit (totally Free + shuttle 1,60 €/person-Free for children under 6 years old)
Of course, during the high tourist season it is not uncommon for the car parks in the centre to be saturated.
In this case, just follow the signs "Parking Gratuit des Gorguettes".
On this car park you will find a space for your car (parking offered by the city). Many shuttles are at your disposal to go to the city centre (journey: 5 mn...) and of course they assure the return all day long (1,60 €/Person - Free for children under 6 years old).

With its car park with 220 spaces and the provision of a free car park, you can move around the village without a car by using the numerous shuttles available (1.60 € return).
The Cassis Tourist Office is on the spot, at your disposal 7 days a week from 9.30 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5.30 pm in July and August and every weekend in September.
The shuttle buses operate 7 days a week:
- from 9 a.m. to midnight from July 4th to August 31st.
- from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. from 1 to 13 September
The nights of 14 July and 15 August (fireworks) are extended until 2 am.

If your car is parked at "Les Gorguettes" (free parking) the shuttle will take you either to the town centre or to the peninsula (starting point of a walk in the calanques).
